Survivors show up at an island, they don’t know shit. Dharma initiative knows everything. Later on, we’re focusing on the Dharma initiative so they can’t know everything so they don’t know shit either.

The others, they know whats going on. Then they have a leader, oh they don’t know anything. This guy Ben, he knows everything.
Oh, but look out, Ben reports to this guy, Richard Alpert. That guy knows everything.
